The Southern Tagalog region, or CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), ranked as the most visited region by domestic travelers from 2008-2024.
According to the recent comprehensive tourism sectoral review conducted by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) using data from the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Region IV-A recorded 77.5 million domestic travelers, making it the local travel favorite for the past 16 years.
The region also recorded 10,863,098 overnight travelers in 2024, including 10,680,294 domestic and 182,804 overseas Filipinos and foreign travelers.
From historical sites in Cavite, must-see churches in Laguna, premier diving in Batangas, breathtaking rock formations in Rizal, and the famous Festival in Quezon, there’s something for everyone in CALABARZON.
