Officials from the DOT and TPB Philippines together with private sector stand sharers, key opinion leaders, members of the House of Representatives, local government units, and guests grace the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Philippine Pavilion at WTM London 2026.
The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT), brings 28 Philippine tourism exhibitors to World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026, happening on November 3 to 5 at Excel London, United Kingdom. Comprising destination management companies (DMCs), tour operators, and accommodation providers, the delegation aims to forge business partnerships, expand international market reach, and promote distinctive Philippine tourism experiences to global buyers.
The 330-square Philippine Pavilion hosted business-to-business meetings and provided guests with regional Philippine cuisine and locally sourced brews at WTM London 2026.
“The Philippines offers a rich portfolio of tourism experiences that are authentic, distinctive, and ready for global markets,” said TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. “WTM London provides an opportunity for our tourism stakeholders to connect directly with international buyers and industry partners. Through our participation, TPB aims to expand market access for Philippine tourism enterprises, creating pathways for sustainable growth, stronger business opportunities, and long-term benefits for local communities.”

London-based Filipino Chef Chris Joseph, owner of Kasa and Kin, introduces the flavors of the Philippines, while Slow Food Iloilo highlights Philippine coffee heritage and the communities behind its production. These presentations can help inspire culinary tours and food-focused itineraries that introduce visitors to regional flavors and local producers.
The country’s growing presence in international culinary circles further reinforces this potential, with the 2027 MICHELIN Guide Manila and Environs & Cebu featuring 127 establishments, including 27 new entries. This brings greater attention to the country’s culinary diversity and the traditions that shape Filipino food.

Filipino artisan Marichelle Santos Bernardo demonstrates puni, the intricate art of palm-leaf weaving associated with Bulacan. This highlights the potential for craft workshops and community-based cultural encounters to become part of visitors’ itineraries.
Meanwhile, London-based Filipino dance company Lahing Kayumanggi presented performances celebrating the country’s diverse traditions through movement and music.
Through these activities, TPB aims to show how the country’s cultural assets can translate into meaningful visitor experiences while creating opportunities for the communities and practitioners who sustain them.
Complementing its international trade efforts, TPB continues to strengthen the tools that help travelers move from inspiration to itinerary. As more travelers rely on digital platforms to research destinations and plan their journeys, the planned integration of an AI-powered virtual travel assistant into the Travel PH App will enhance trip planning and destination discovery, helping convert traveler interest into actual visits and bookings.
Building on a strong foundation
WTM London continues to serve as a strategic platform for expanding the Philippines’ international tourism footprint, directly connecting stakeholders with international buyers and industry decision-makers. It also provides valuable opportunities to refine tourism offerings, enhance competitiveness, and position Philippine tourism enterprises to meet the evolving expectations of global travelers. Through its participation, TPB aims to strengthen the country’s market position, gain deeper insights into emerging traveler preferences, and build lasting partnerships that support the continued growth and global competitiveness of Philippine tourism.
