Delegates to the 49th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Meetings can send mail and buy Philippine-themed postcards and ASEAN commemorative stamps at the International Media Center (IMC) in the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
The Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) formalized the partnership on Wednesday (November 4). Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay and PHLPost Postmaster General and CEO Maximo C. Sta. Maria III signed the agreement, which places PHLPost’s essential services inside the IMC and reinforces the whole-of-government approach to the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairship.
Postmaster General and CEO Maximo C. Sta. Maria III and Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in Makati City.
“Through our official postal operator, we will bring the Philippines closer to the world through something as simple yet meaningful as postcards, stamps, and mailing services, available to all delegates at the International Media Center,” Angara-Mathay said.
“These postcards and stamps are our invitation to the world. We hope to share not only the beauty of our destinations but also the stories, traditions, and cultural identity that make the Philippines truly loved by many,” she added.
Delegates can choose from specially selected postcards showcasing the country’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Featured stamp collections include the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairship 2026 stamp, a commemorative stamp marking the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, and the ASEAN Fruits series, among others.
For PHLPost, the initiative is a chance to reintroduce the relevance of postal services in an increasingly digital world.
“Postcards and stamps tell stories, capture experiences, and connect people, places, and cultures. More importantly, they give our international guests something tangible to remember their time in the Philippines,” Sta. Maria said.
The PHLPost service station at the ASEAN IMC will operate from November 11 to 17, 2026.
