New from Airbnb: Connect with friends, plan with AI, and book new services

Airbnb announced recently new ways to find the right trip: travel recommendations from people you know, AI across every step of planning, and new services from meal delivery to baby gear rental. Please see highlights below:

Discovering where to go from people you know: Starting today, guests can connect with family, friends, and people they’ve traveled with on Airbnb to see where they’ve stayed and what they recommend. An interactive travel map shows where connections have been and where they’re headed, so guests can explore the homes they booked, read their reviews, save favorites to a wishlist, or message them directly — with controls over which trips they share and with whom.

Better trip planning, powered by AI: Starting in the US, AI now runs through each stage of planning. Guests can search and filter in their own words, see AI descriptions highlighting a home’s key features in search results, and compare saved homes side by side. Separately, AI-powered chat support is available in more than 50 languages, with voice support rolling out in the US.

New services to experience more and pack less: Airbnb Services is expanding into new categories that make the trip easier on arrival — meal and grocery delivery across Europe, laundry with Rinse and baby gear with BabyQuip in the US, and local rentals including ski gear in the French Alps, boats in South Florida, and more.
Plus, smarter tools for hosts: Later this fall, new AI-powered tools will give hosts more control and clearer insight. A multi-listing calendar updates pricing, availability, cancellation policies, or discounts across some or all listings at once. Dynamic pricing suggests rates from real-time supply and demand and explains the reasoning behind each. An AI earnings dashboard summarizes performance and what’s driving it, with suggested actions alongside. And interactive 3D floor plans help guests understand a home’s layout before booking.
