With the theme “Tuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Sustainable, and Resilient Tourism,” the month-long activity puts a spotlight on the role of data insights in shaping informed policies and programs for the travel sector.
Featuring discussions led by foreign and local tourism experts, the opening event also served as a platform to discuss recent trends, shifts, and challenges affecting travel worldwide.
The DOT recently unveiled the Philippine Tourism Data Dashboard, providing public access to key tourism indicators such as visitor arrivals, market sources, tourism employment, and economic contribution, among other metrics.
