Smart Travel Asia 2026 Best in Travel Poll names Hyatt Regency Manila, City of Dreams Top 8 among Asia’s Best Family Hotels                                                                                        

A refreshing pause at or by the swimming pool brings a leisurely rhythm to a family’s staycation as a separate children’s pool brings added thrill.

Hyatt Regency Manila, City of Dreams ranks eighth in the Top 10 Best Family Hotels category of Smart Travel Asia’s 2026 Best in Travel Poll, asserting the resort’s current campaign,  “the City stays winning”. One of City of Dreams Manila’s luxury hotels, also Forbes Travel Guide Star rated since 2018, Hyatt Regency Manila climbed two places from No. 10 last year, marking its second consecutive distinction on the Hong Kong-based regional list of luxury hotels and resorts.

The 2026 poll, conducted from June to late August, found that safety, service and value figured prominently in travelers’ choices. Child-friendly resorts were among the interests cited by 60 percent of respondents, reflecting the continued appeal of destinations where families can spend meaningful time together.

Smart Travel Asia Editor and Founder Vijay Verghese noted on the results that “service is at the heart of brand recognition and recall,” placing the people behind a hotel at the center of how guests remember it. Established in 2003, the Hong Kong-based Smart Travel Asia began its annual  poll in  2005, whereby  readers vote for their Top 10 favorite Asian hotels, destinations, and international airlines and airports.

DreamPlay

A significant feature at the resort complex is DreamPlay, the world’s first DreamWorks-inspired indoor family entertainment center, with 12 interactive attractions featuring beloved DreamWorks Animation characters Shrek, Princess Fiona, Po, Tigress, Alex the Lion, Puss in Boots and the Trolls.

DreamPlay enables kids to explore the world of DreamWorks Animation and provides them with creative and hands-on experience of its stories that are brought to life through the latest digital technologies and its various attractions spread across its 5,000 square-meter space. Open on Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 8 pm, Participant tickets and non-participant tickets for parents or guardians accompanying children, are offered.

DreamPlay, the DreamWorks-inspired family entertainment center, is a signature attraction for fun family bonding moments for guests at Hyatt Regency Manila at the City of Dreams Manila complex.

Appealing to both kids and kids-at-heart, Chez Gingy, the dining cafe inside DreamPlay offers classic American, Italian, Asian dishes, and other family favorites such as pizza, pasta, noodles, and well-loved ice creams and desserts. To complete the adventure, DreamWorks toys, goodies, and accessories can be purchased as mementos and gifts at the DreamPlay Shop,

Spacious Rooms and Suites

The recognition highlights Hyatt Regency Manila’s 364 contemporary accommodations with modern comforts. The hotel’s 24-hour in-room dining is available when children need an early meal or if the family chooses to dine in the room. Each room and suite feature a complimentary maxibar stocked with select snack items and canned beverages.

Club Room and Suite guests have exclusive access to the seventh-floor Regency Club lounge, where complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails are served against panoramic city views.

For big families, the 114-sq-m two-bedroom Executive Suite gives multi-generational families, space to stay together while retaining the privacy of separate rooms. A favorite suite of guests seeking utmost privacy  is the 86-sq-m Hyatt Pool Villa with floor-to-ceiling windows, and which is steps away from the swimming pool, next to the fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, and the salon. It features a king bedroom, separate living area, entrance foyer and powder room. Cribs and rollaway beds are available upon request in selected room categories.

Families can spend quality time together at the 200-sq-m outdoor pool, which also features a separate 10 sqm heated whirlpool, and a children’s pool.

Stay, Dine, Shop and Unwind

Foodie families relish bonding moments at the more than 20 restaurants across the property. At Hyatt Regency Manila, The Café, the 315-seat international buffet restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner,  with some dishes prepared a la minute at the interactive show kitchens. Children five years old and below dine for free and six to 12 years old can avail of half the buffet rate. The Lounge offers a refined yet inviting space where guests can savor specialty teas and freshly brewed coffee, complemented by a curated menu of international light bites.

Premium dining choices await at the two other Forbes Travel Guide Star-rated luxury hotels at City of Dreams Manila. At Nuwa Manila, lunch and dinner are available at Crystal Dragon, renowned for its Cantonese cuisine and regional Chinese specialties, with a selection of dim sum available at lunch; and Haliya serves modern Filipino cuisine for dinner daily. While at Nobu Manila, the local outpost of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s New Style Japanese cuisine welcomes guests for dinner from Wednesday to Sunday and its signature Nobu Sunday Brunch

Families can head to The Shoppes at the Boulevard for retail therapy with a variety of premium brands for fashion accessories, eye wear,  sportswear, to the latest electronic devices and quality souvenir items juxtaposed with dining outlets Red Ginger, Jing Ting, Hidemasa, Rossi Pizza, Modern Table, Café Society Mango Tree, J. Park Garden Korean Barbecue, Cha Lim and Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Grill.
