Marriott International climbs to #2 Best Workplace in Asia

The result builds on last year’s 3rd placing and follows a series of notable Great Place to Work awards across Asia Pacific excluding China,including 15 Great Place to Work certifications, 8 national rankings and 6 special mentions

Marriott International Inc. has been ranked 2nd in Best Place to Work in Asia for large companies by Great Place to Work®, the global authority which recognizes strong workplace culture.

The results reflect the combined Trust Index survey feedback from Marriott associates across 22 eligible markets in Asia, including 12 markets from Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC): Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.

The latest ranking marks a significant achievement for the company, rising from #3 in 2025, and reflects the voices and experiences of associates across Asia who make Marriott’s culture truly exceptional. 15 markets achieved certification status in 2026, up from 10 in 2025. 8 markets entered National List Rankings while South Korea and India received a total of 6 Special Best Workplaces awards.

The result marks a remarkable year for Marriott across APEC, where a growing number of associates have affirmed the company’s commitment to creating a workplace where people feel trusted, empowered, valued, and a true sense of belonging.

Marriott continues to create meaningful careers for persons with disabilities through partnerships, training and more inclusive workplaces.​ ​Since 2025, representation of persons with disabilities across APEC has grown by 38%, with particularly strong progress in Australia, Indonesia and India.​
