For three evenings only, Hotel Okura Manila at Newport World Resorts presents ARITA WAGYU: An Okura Collaboration, an exclusive dining experience at Yawaragi Restaurant celebrating one of Japan’s most acclaimed wagyu brands.
Raised in the expansive pastures of Miyazaki Prefecture, Arita Wagyu is the result of more than 70 years of dedicated breeding and craftsmanship. Produced exclusively by Arita Farm—one of Japan’s largest wagyu farms—its Japanese Black cattle are nurtured in a natural environment with a focus on animal welfare and minimal stress. This unwavering commitment to quality has earned Arita Wagyu international recognition, most recently receiving a Gold Medal at the 2025 World Steak Challenge.
The collaboration brings together distinguished chefs from across the Okura Hotels & Resorts. Leading the experience are Grand Chef Tadashi Sawauchi of Okura Hotels & Resorts and Hotel Okura Manila’s Japanese Executive Chef Keiichiro Fujino, joined by Assistant Chef Jumpei Yamanashi of The Okura Tokyo. They are joined by Hotel Okura Manila’s culinary team, including Yamazato Specialty Sushi Chef Ikuma Sato, Specialty Teppan Chef Katsuji Kato, and Yawaragi Senior Pastry Chef Vi Serrano.
Together, they present an exclusive multi-course menu that showcases Arita Wagyu as the centerpiece of the evening. Thoughtfully composed from beginning to end, each course complements the richness and character of the prized beef, creating a harmonious progression of flavors. Guests may further elevate the experience with an optional sake pairing, carefully selected to accompany each course and highlight the nuances of the menu.
