Hotel Okura Manila presents “Pastels & Play”  an exclusive Easter Sunday lunch buffet at Yawaragi

A seasonal pastel-inspired dining experience designed for families, children, and festive gatherings.

For generations, Easter is the time when families gather around the table to welcome the season with meaningful traditions and memorable meals. This year, Hotel Okura Manila brings that spirit to life with Pastels & Play, an Easter Sunday lunch celebration at Yawaragi, where refined cuisine, soft hues, and subtle Sakura-inspired touches come together in a setting designed for both parents and children.

“This year’s Easter celebration at Yawaragi, Pastels & Play, was thoughtfully designed to bring families together in a setting that reflects both joy and refinement,” said Hotel Okura Manila General Manager Jan Marshall. “We wanted to create an experience where guests can enjoy exceptional cuisine while sharing meaningful moments with their loved ones.”

At the heart of Pastels & Play is a themed buffet inspired by the palette and flavors of Easter, where pastel treats and festive culinary dishes allow guests of all ages to enjoy a memorable culinary journey.

Indulge in a selection of curated culinary stations, beginning with the Sashimi Live Station, featuring sustainably sourced whole Yellowfin tuna and sashimi-grade salmon.

At the Pasta Station, signature dishes are prepared à la minute, including Chef Margareth Projimo’s Shrimp and Vegetable Pasta and Chef Katrina Paran’s Stracciatella Pasta, offering fresh flavors and delicate textures.

Discover the ocean’s bounty at the Seafood on Ice Station, with prawns and New Zealand mussels, served chilled or prepared to your preference. For grilled selections, the Robatayaki Counter presents dishes cooked over open flame and served hot to your table.

Hot dishes from Chef Rexander Aspiras, showcasing bold and refined flavors with Braised Lamb Riblet in Cajun Lamb Jus and Chicken Roulade. Along with the Carving Station featuring Dijon, herbed roasted Australian Wagyu chuck eye roll MB4–5.

For a playful finale, Chef Vi Serrano reimagines a Filipino classic with her Ginataang Halo-halo V2, encased in a chocolate eggshell and finished with warm coconut milk, adding a whimsical touch to the dessert experience.

Guests are also invited to experience a fun-filled entertainment throughout the celebration. Roving mime with balloon-making performances brings lighthearted moments. Children can also enjoy face painting and origami-making at the lobby lounge, while cupcake decorating offers a hands-on activity in a semi-private dining space.

Families can enjoy additional interactive touches, including a Make-Your-Own Ice Cream station and a cotton candy cart. Senior Pastry Chef Vi Serrano will also rove the buffet with handcrafted cake pops, adding a sweet and thoughtful detail that completes the experience of Pastels & Play at Yawaragi.

To add to the festivities, exclusive Easter-themed loot bags will be distributed to guests, with special surprises reserved for early reservations.

Pastels & Play, an Easter Celebration, promises a heartwarming gathering for children and the young at heart, where families can create lasting memories over exceptional cuisine and whimsical touches. Adults are priced at PHP 3,800++ and children at PHP 1,900++.
