Philippines Golf Invitational 2026 tees off in Clark; aims for stronger golf tourism

As the Philippines continues to position itself in the global fairway of competitive golf tourism, the Department of Tourism (DOT), in collaboration with Go Golfing and Golfasian Co. Ltd., officially teed off the Philippines Golf Invitational 2026 from February 22 to 26 in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

Now on its second edition, the tournament brings together 140 international golfers, tour operators, media representatives, and industry partners from key markets across Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia, aiming to drive longer stays, higher visitor spending, and stronger international market connections.

Tournament rounds are now in full swing at Mimosa Plus Golf Course, Subic International Golf Club, and Pradera Verde Golf Club, offering participants a strategic mix of championship-level play and destination experiences.

The Invitational opened on Sunday (Feb. 22) with a Business-to-Business Session and Welcome Dinner at Quest Plus Hotel, Clark. The evening also highlighted Filipino culture through performances celebrating the country’s heritage, setting the tone for a tournament that blends sport, business, and destination promotion.

DOT Director for Golf Tourism and Special Projects Lyle Fernand Uy represented the Department during the welcome program and stakeholder engagements, with DOT Central Luzon Regional Director Richard Daenos and Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Tourism Promotions Division Chief Elenita Lorenzo also present.
