The 38th Mango Tee Invitational Golf Tournament formally opened with a ceremonial tee-off held at the Alabang Country Club last Thursday, January 29.
One of the highlights of the ceremonial tee-off was the Department of Tourism’s support to this high-value niche product by way of diversifying the Philippines’ tourism portfolio and introducing curated golf tour packages, regional destinations, and authentic Filipino hospitality that encourage extended stays and repeat visits for golfers and tourists alike.
Now on its 38th year, the Mango Tee Invitational is one of the longest-running and most respected golf events in the Philippines. Today, it has evolved beyond tournament into a catalyst for investment conversations, partnerships, and destination branding.
Director Lyle Fernando Uy, represented DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco at the event. Private sector officials present included 38th Mango Tee Invitational Chairman Sarah Medina, Alabang Country Club President Edward Puno as well as General Manager Rafael Llamas.
