Over 1,700 tourism jobs are up for grabs at the 4th Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso: Philippine Tourism Job Fair happening at the SMX Convention Center Manila from October 9 to 11, 2025.
Launched in 2022 under the Marcos Administration, Trabaho, Turismo, Asensoโa joint initiative of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Labor and Employment – DOLEโforms part of the governmentโs broader agenda to advance inclusive recovery and provide sustainable employment opportunities for Filipinos.
Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco personally visited the job fair on its opening day (Oct. 9), engaging with job seekers and tourism employers, and witnessing on-the-spot hiring activities that reflected the strong demand for skilled workers in the sector.
โTourism is more than destinations; it is about people and possibilities. In 2024, over 6.75 million Filipinosโor 13.83 percent of our nationโs workforceโare employed in the tourism sector, a clear reflection reflecting how this industry continues to create opportunities and sustain livelihoods for our people. Through the Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso: Philippine Tourism Job Fair in partnership with DOLE, we are opening doors for Filipinos to build meaningful careers in a growing industry that continues to uplift communities under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.,โ Secretary Frasco said.
Now in its fourth year, Trabaho, Turismo, Asenso continues to serve as a national platform connecting job seekers with employment opportunities in tourism, hospitality, and wellness.
This yearโs edition features more than 50 participating employers from tourism and allied sectors, offering vacancies across hospitality, accommodation, food and beverage, and travel industries.
Available positions include room attendants, guest service agents, baristas, chefs, dining staff, kitchen helpers, and restaurant supervisors, alongside customer care, sales, logistics, and administrative roles such as encoders, travel and tour staff, warehouse personnel, production helpers, and vehicle operators.
The fair is held alongside the 16th Hotel and Foodservice Suppliers Show and Beauty + Health and Wellness Manila 2025, providing greater opportunities for career advancement, training, and networking within the tourism and allied industries.
Among those hired on the spot (HOTS) was Sherwin Niรฑo Bodo, a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management graduate, who secured a position as a room attendant at ACE Hotel and Resort. โI have experience working abroad, but I returned home to be closer to my family. The job fair really helped because it was convenient, no long walks or waiting lines. I applied and was instantly hired,โ he shared in Filipino.
Also present at the opening program were DOT Undersecretary Maria Rica C. Bueno, Assistant Secretary Christine Joy Cari, and representatives from DOLE-NCR, Global-Link MP Events International Inc., and key industry partners, including the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP) and the Chamber of Cosmetics Industry of the Philippines.
