Going to Tagaytay for a quick gastronomic trip has now become a habit for people from Manila. Why not? Tagaytay offers such a wide range of choices when you are just up for food hunting. Name your cravings and you will surely find it there.
However, if your palate is craving for the fresh and natural food that you always wanted in your meals, there’s one great place to head on to the Taza Fresh Table Restaurant inside Taal Vista Hotel. You have to visit this restaurant and you will surely be captivated by its cool and breezy surroundings.
If you are looking for fresh food from natural sources, you are in the right place at Taza Fresh Table. True to its name, Taza is an Arabic word that means fresh. At Taza you will enjoy the freshness of the food that contains garden-fresh ingredients or natural sources from their local suppliers.
Our trip to Tagaytay recently brought us to Taza Fresh Table. Our table was filled with all-fresh goodness. We want to share with you how we enjoyed everything at Taza. Starting with their Mezze with flat bread with dips of hummus, sautéed chorizo in garlic, sauted chicken liver with garlic, and boquerones which are all equally very good. The salad was served and you can see from the greens how fresh and crunchy they are. Surely, they are just what you’ve always wanted to get from fresh vegetable salads. We are still with the appetizers and our taste buds are beginning to feast for the fresh servings.
On to our mains, we tried the Roasted Market Fish and the Tomahawk Pork Chop. Our first bite into this baked fish dish instanly gave us that wow reaction. You can really tell that the fish was so fresh. The Tomahawk Pork Chop is a winner; every bite of this grilled soft meat makes you crave more.
For pasta, the Mushroom and Spinach Maltagliati was so good. That combined goodness of three kinds of mushrooms- Tagaytay oyster mushroom, shiitake and buttons combined with creamy sauce and truffle oil simply melt in your mouth with bursting great taste.
It was such a wonderful lunch. At that moment we just feel that our table is oozing with freshness and that our body has been treated to a natural aura of some sort. Topping the sumptuous meal with a lovely dessert – the Molten Chocolate Cake. This sweet chocolate cake made with Alfonso tablea chocolate and Patoqueso de bola ice cream will surely make you come back to Taza.
Definitely a lunch to remember, the fact that all of us were so satisfied with what we had. It was also good to know that Taza is not just after making sure that they serve fresh food but also doing everything to contribute to natural sustainability. They always make sure that “it’s always fresh foods on your table” at Taal Vista’s Taza Fresh Table. Yes, we experienced that and left the restaurant still feeling fresh.
