DOT-CAR stages its second edition of the Cordillera Festival of Festivals

In a grand showcase of the region’s vibrant cultural tapestry, the Department of Tourism- Cordillera Administrative Region Office (DOT-CAR) stages its second edition of the Cordillera Festival of Festivals today in Baguio City.

The festival serves as a unifying platform, bringing together seven diverse festivals from the provinces of Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and the City of Baguio, highlighting the rich heritage of the Cordillera Administrative Region. The event also commemorates the Indigenous People’s (IP) Month every October each year.

Representing Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, DOT Undersecretary Ferdinand “Cocoy” Jumapao graces the event together with Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Lone District of Kalinga Representative Allan Jesse Mangaoang, and National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Regional Director Atty. Atanacio Addog.

The festivities include a vibrant parade along Upper Session Road, culminating at the Rose Garden in Burnham Park, where cultural performances are set to captivate locals and visitors alike, offering a proud display of the region’s diverse traditions and celebrations.
