Mayor Edgardo F. Arcay welcomed recently the MV Heritage Adventurer, a pioneering expedition cruise ship which holds the highest passenger ship ice class rating, as it sailed in the waters of Panglao Island.
Mayor Arcay was happy to meet the owner as well as the tourist passengers aboard the cruise ship.
MV Heritage Adventurer landed at Baclayon port at around 1:30 P.M. and was given immediate clearance by the proper authorities. The ship then sailed towards Panglao Island near the coast of Bohol Beach Club and stay drifting for the Mayor didn’t allow to drop their anchor, to protect the corals. Some passengers disembarked the ship and enjoyed sight – seeing to the town’s white sand coast; some tourist headed for Balicasag Island.
In behalf of the Local Government Unit of Panglao, Mayor Arcay warmly welcomes guests and tourists to the Island. As a former ship captain himself, Mayor Arcay acknowledges that the cruise ship industry is one of the key players in the evolving and booming tourism sector.
The said cruise ship proceeded to Bucas Grande Northern Surigao at about 1800 hrs.
