The exhibit will open on July 16, 2022 at Fort Santiago in Intramuros. Organized by the Philippine World War II Memorial Foundation (PhilWar Foundation), in partnership with the Intramuros Administration (IA), it focuses on the country’s experience from the “peacetime” years of the American Occupation, to the Japanese invasion and occupation, to the eventual end of the Second World War. It also highlights the strong resistance groups in the country during this period
Written and curated by Desiree Ann C. Benipayo, it also features rare photographs of the era from the collections of WW2 historian Dr Ricardo T. Jose, and WWII expert Anthony S. Feredo. Everyone is invited to view the exhibit which will run from July 16 to December 31, 2022.
