DOT brings back KAIN NA! this September

The Department of Tourism (DOT) announced in its social media account that it will bring back its Food and Travel Festival ,KAIN NA! (Let’s Eat) this coming September 15-18 thru online.  In partnership with Ayala Malls and WOFEX University, this year’s KAIN Na!  will feature  various digital business trainings, e-learning modules, and food tourism exchanges through live streams on Facebook.

Speakers were invited to talk on different topics thru livestreaming.  For Food Tourism 101 which will be conducted on different dates between September 15-18, the sub-topics will be: Food Walks by Ivan Man Dy, Founder of Old Manila Walks; Market Tours by Chef Margarita Fores, Owner and CEO of Margarita Fores Concepts & Style, Inc.; Foodie Hostpots by JJ Yulo, Founder of Pinoy Eats World; and, Food Tourism Experiences by Michelle Cruz, Market Lead at Klook Philippines.

To talk on Tsokolate, speakers will be Mark Ocampo, Co-Foundder and Managing Director of Auro Chocolate, Raquel Toquero-Choa, President and Founder of The Chocolate Chamber, and Rex Victor Puentespina, Farmer and Chocolate Maker of Malagos Chocolate. To talk on Kape, speakers will be: Jason Carl Vasquez, Coffee and Beverage Coffee Master Developer at Bos’ Coffee; Kiddo Cosio, Founder of El Union Coffee and Roastery, Inc.; Michael Harris Conlin, President and CEO of Henry and Sons Trading and Manufacturing Company, Inc.; and, Vince Santos, Chef/Coffee Professional at Gourmet Farms.

An online exhibit will also be available to the public and they may visit  kainastore.com. Some of the online exhibitors are: Atokape; Ola Farms Organic Arabica; Bakaan Farm; Tablea; El Union Café; Piddig Food Factory School and Agrotourism Farm; Enrile Farmers Credit Cooperative; Barako Boy Coffee Shop; Ybanag Roast; Mangi Food Hauz, and many more.
