Cebu’s #GuamWithMe event brings the dream of Guam closer than ever

Cebuanos gathered in full island spirit as the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) successfully held its first #GuamWithMe travel fair on February 21–22, 2026 at the 3F Activity Center of Ayala Malls Central Bloc.  The two-day event transformed the mall into a lively display of Guam’s culture, travel experiences, and exclusive getaway offers – making the dream of a Guam escape more accessible than ever.

Co-presented by Philippine Airlines (PAL), the event highlighted exclusive flight deals from Cebu to Guam, giving attendees the opportunity to book seamless island getaways directly from their home city.

Cebu-based travel partners such as Grand Hope Travel Inc. and Travel Care offered curated Guam travel packages, including Ko’ko’ Weekend and leisure adventure packages, while retail partners brought the ultimate travel-ready experience to life. Participating brands included the official bank partner, Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Primer Group of Companies, The Travel Club, Allbirds, Flight 001, Viajecito, New Era, Havaianas, and Imprint – offering everything from luggages and apparel to island essentials perfect for a tropical adventure.

Adding excitement to the weekend were interactive booths, engaging games, and exclusive prizes that delighted attendees of all ages.  Two winners of the crowd-favorite “Hep Hep Hooray” game – specially tweaked to “Hafa Adai!” for the occasion – went home with $250 each, while special Guam items were also given away across the other games. CHamoru cultural dancers from Guma Tao’tao Tåno took center stage at the event, delivering an engaging performance that energized the mall’s atmosphere. The group highlighted Guam’s rich cultural heritage, captivating the audience with our Håfa Adai spirit.

Cebu-based influencers further amplified the island energy throughout the event. Cebuana Diaries (@cebuanadiaries) took to the stage to share her personal experiences in Guam, inspiring attendees to discover the destination for themselves. Dussel Mortejo (@dusselandjiana) was also present at the event, creating engaging content that captured the festive mood, while Ana Bensig (@ana_bensig) delighted the audience by dancing live alongside the cultural performers.

Increased awareness of Guam among travelers from Cebu strengthened its position as a premier destination for Filipino visitors. The event generated an estimated on-ground reach of 120,000, based on Ayala Center Cebu foot traffic, with around 2,500 attendees participating daily. Online, the campaign reached a reported 240 million users, further amplifying Guam’s appeal as a must-visit destination – just 3.5 hours away-offering a unique blend of American experiences and CHamoru hospitality. Through strong partnerships, exclusive offers, and enthusiastic community turnout, #GuamWithMe Cebu proved that an American paradise is no longer just a dream- it’s now within reach.

“We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming response from the people of Cebu. The Philippines is a vital market for Guam, and this successful fair shows the strong desire among Filipinos to experience our beautiful island,” said GVB President and CEO, Régine Biscoe Lee.  “We are also excited for our Guam residents to experience Cebu as a new, exciting, and accessible destination,” Lee added.
