Filipino artisans, weavers, and creatives from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao gathered once again this year for the LIKHA Exhibition, a project initiated by the Office of the First Lady.

The annual exhibition is part of the activities leading to the 127th celebration of the Philippine Independence.

First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos

First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos led the ceremonial ringing of the bell to formally open the exhibition on Thursday (June 5) at the newest community events space in the historic Walled City, the Foro De Intramuros, built at the former site of the Ateneo De Manila University.

She was joined by Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, as well as Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque, former Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary, now Presidential Adviser for Pasig River Development Jerry Acuzar, and Intramuros Administration (IA) Administrator Atty. Joan Padilla.

Meanwhile, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco toured around the exhibit and showed her support by purchasing some items from her home province, Cebu, such as a piece of handcrafted jewelry and a handmade bag. She also received a ukelele as a gift from her fellow Cebuana, which she enjoys playing in her spare time.

Likha will run form June 6 to 8, 2025, from 9AM to 6PM at the Foro De Intramuros, Manila.
